On 23 September 2013, the Belgian Heart Foundation organised a national meeting in Madrid to disseminate the outcome of the publication "Diet, Physical Activity and Cardiovascular Disease Prevention in Europe".

The central theme was the need for salt reduction to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
